Chair Riley announces oversight hearing on Block-by-Block housing plan
He notes the hearing will start in 10 minutes, describes the plan's goal of 400,000 affordable units, and looks forward to discussion and public feedback.
At today's meeting in about 10 minutes, for those of you waiting, we will open up an oversight hearing regarding Mayor Momdani's block-by-block housing plan, which was released earlier this year.
As many of you know, the administration's ambitious plan targets 200,000 new construction
affordable housing units and 200,000 preservation units for a total of 400,000 affordable housing units in New York City over the next decade.
We look forward to a robust discussion of the mayor's plan.
with members of his administration who have joined us today.
And we also look forward to hearing feedback from the public related to this plan.
Right after we hear from the agencies, in a few minutes, I will go over some procedural announcements regarding how members of the public may sign up to testify.
