Chair Sherman highlights other DCP priorities and collaboration
He mentions census, city map, waterfronts, industrial areas, community boards, and looks forward to continued partnership with the council.
But housing is only one part of city planning's agenda.
Our team remains focused on supporting the 2030 census, modernizing the city map and address assignment system,
planning for resilient waterfronts and thriving industrial and commercial areas, improving how we engage and support community boards, and providing data and insight that can help guide decisions across city government.
And of course, none of this work happens in isolation.
When I appeared before you in March, I said that I looked forward to a strong and collaborative relationship with the council.
And we know that meeting the needs of New Yorkers will require all of us working together.
The affordability crisis remains profound.
But over the last several months, we have put new tools in place, launched ambitious planning efforts, and begun changing the way government works so that we can deliver more effectively.
There is so much more work ahead, and we look forward to continuing it all in partnership with you.
Thank you, and I'm happy to answer any questions.
