Chair Sherman recaps DCP focus on housing crisis
He notes his previous testimony in March, and that seven months later, the focus remains on unlocking housing, streamlining, and planning for a fairer city.
When I last testified before you, I was six days into my role at the Department of City Planning.
At that time, in March, I spoke about the urgency of our city's housing crisis and what it requires of us at DCP.
Unlocking significantly more housing across neighborhoods, streamlining how we work to deliver homes faster, and planning for a fairer, more equitable city.
Seven months later, I can confirm that this has remained the focus of our work.
