Hudson questions Dalton on OMB concerns and site delays
Hudson asks if OMB cost concerns delayed or denied street homeless sites; Dalton says she knows of no such delays, is working with OMB on the plan, and does not know if OMB has visited shelters.
Have any proposed street homeless sites been delayed or denied because of Office of Management and Budget concerns surrounding costs?
And if so, what are those concerns and how has OMB determined which approaches to street homeless site funding offers the best long-term value for taxpayers?
No, I do not know of any sites that are delayed for those reasons.
We are working on a forward-looking plan and working in partnership with OMB on that.
They are certainly one voice in that conversation as well.
We have opinions about the best ways to serve this group of people.
To your knowledge, has anyone from OMB visited?
Any shelters in the network?
I think you would have to ask OMB.
I don't know.
Okay.
