Morano questions Rudin on leaks and offline beds
Morano asks about leaks and tarps; Rudin says the city owns the building, seven units are offline, the number fluctuates with rainfall, and the city patches the roof.
I have a couple of minor questions, brief questions, I should say.
Just on the...
Because it was the most glaring issue I observed when I was there, the leaking and the tarps.
Commissioner Dalton indicated that there were about seven beds that were offline as a result of the leaks.
Is that the case?
And is that the case even when there's heavy rains and things like that?
Yeah, I mean, it's important for me to clarify that the city owns the building and is responsible for the repairs in the capital.
Yeah, the city is in regular touch with us before and after each rainfall to figure out the direction that the rain is leaking into the facility.
We can iterate a process around making sure that beds are offline so that people aren't impacted by the rain.
Currently, we have seven units offline.
It's possible that that could fluctuate based on the direction of the rainfall and, most importantly, based on the remediation work that the city is doing to patch the roof.
