Morano responds to Hudson and emphasizes shared goal
Morano says he disagrees with some characterizations of the federal government, notes five public panels, says federal, city, and state could all do more, and stresses there is no disagreement on ending veteran homelessness.
Thank you, Chair.
I'll just add, you know,
I think it's no secret that I disagree with several of the characterizations made of the current federal government administration.
We have five panels of the public that are here to testify today.
And what I want to do in this hearing today is get answers from the public, from both of the commissioners that are good enough to be here, and help that testimony inform what we're doing on a legislative basis.
And the truth is, could the federal government be doing more for veterans?
100%.
So could the city.
So could the state.
So could we all.
I really do believe that all of my colleagues here, Democrat, Republican, whatever, are all approaching this hearing and this issue from a place of passion and wanting to do better for our
veterans.
And I love that I'm in a body where we can have such spirited disagreements about those sort of things, but there's no disagreement that there should be no veteran homelessness.
