Morano thanks Hudson and committee staff
Morano acknowledges Hudson's partnership on the oversight hearing and thanks legislative counsel, analysts, and staff for preparing, then turns the floor to Hudson.
Before I conclude, I want to acknowledge Councilmember Hudson, chair of the Committee on General Welfare, for working with me on this oversight hearing.
And it's clear that she recognizes as much as I do how crucial it is to address the housing issues veterans face and the barriers to safe and stable shelter that a lot of people still experience.
I'd also like to thank the committee staff, Legislative Counsel Hannah Cohn, Legislative Analyst Raina Lee, Legislative Policy Analyst.
Mahnoor Boot, Justin Campos, and Nina Rosenberg, Senior Financial Analyst Sandra Gray, and Community Liaison Sebastian Neme for their hard work in preparing for this hearing.
I'd also like to thank my staff for their work as we continue to serve our constituents and the city as a whole.
I'm looking forward to today's testimony and to strengthening support for veterans experiencing homelessness in New York City.
I'll now turn things over to Chair Hudson to give her opening statement.
