Paladino questions Dalton on experience and Borden concerns
Paladino asks Dalton how long she has been commissioner and about her prior experience, says she seems like a deer in headlights, and raises many concerns about Borden Avenue.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Let me commend my colleague, Julie Wan.
That was excellent, Julie.
You nailed it.
I'm interested in the Commissioner of Department of Social Services.
I believe your name is Erin Dalton.
How long have you been commissioner for the Department of Social Services?
Since March 2nd.
So you're a newbie.
What was your prior experience before doing this?
I ran the Department of Human Services in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
That's Pittsburgh.
There, my portfolio was broader than it is here.
I ran everything from newborn, early intervention, child protection, the mental health and substance use programs, the homelessness programs.
I also ran veteran services.
I ran aging programs and so violence prevention programs, a wide range of.
Okay, because obviously.
It sounds like you're stuck like a deer in the headlights right now.
We have many, many, many concerns.
about the Borden Street shelter, most of which was eloquently put in front of you today.
