Council Member Kayla Santosuosso moves to spread invocation in full
Council Member Kayla Santosuosso provides a biography of Father Khader El-Yateem, noting his service in Brooklyn and interfaith work, and moves to spread the invocation in full upon the record.
Thank you, Father Khalili.
I would now ask Councilmember Kayla Santos-Uoso to spread the invocation on the record.
Thank you, Mr.
Majority Leader.
Pastor Khalili is a Palestinian-American pastor and community leader who has served Grace Lutheran Church of Brooklyn since 2013.
He also serves as director of Arab and Middle Eastern ministries for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and as dean of the Southwest Brooklyn Lutheran Conference.
He studied at Bethlehem Bible College and earned his Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California, and was ordained in 2009.
Pastor Khaliliya serves on the board of the Arab American Association of New York and is active in ecumenical and interfaith work.
He also leads pilgrimages to the Holy Land and proudly calls Brooklyn home.
I want to thank the pastor for being here today and sharing some beautiful words with us.
I now make a motion to spread the invocation in full upon the record.
