Leacock urges Council to adopt Resolution 625-B to preserve reggaeton history
Leacock says recognizing October as Reggaeton Heritage Month honors pioneers and acknowledges Caribbean and Latino contributions to New York City's cultural identity. She urges the Council to adopt Resolution 625-B.
Recognizing October as Reggaeton Month is not simply celebrating a genre.
It is preserving history.
It is honoring our pioneers, educating future generations, and acknowledging the contributions of a Caribbean and Latino community that came together in New York City's cultural identity.
I respectfully urge this New York City Council to please adopt Resolution No.
625B and officially recognize October as Reggaeton Heritage Month.
Thank you.
