Chair asks about missing demographic/compensation data
Won notes the city charter requires quarterly reports to include demographics, compensation, total hires by contract type, and financial benefits, but OCH reports lack this. Harry says OCH will publish more data and gives preliminary borough breakdowns for human services hires.
And the city charter requires each quarterly report to include the demographic and compensation of community hires, the total number of community hires by contract type, and the program's financial benefits.
None of the information appears in OCH's published reports.
Why has OCH not published this information, and when will you begin publishing it?
So in the most recent reports, we don't have some of that information, but we do have some of that information that we hope to reflect in the future reports.
And we will continue to collect this information as we implement those tools to make sure that we have it.
But we do know that we have community hires from all five boroughs, neighborhoods across the city from Harlem to Stapleton and Staten Island to East New York to Corona.
And so we're hiring, we know, from across all five boroughs.
We know that specifically on human services contracts, approximately 27.5% are from the Bronx, 36.5% are from Brooklyn, 12% are from Manhattan, and 22% are from Queens, and 1.5% are from Staten Island.
And that's based on the available preliminary data now.
know that we want to continue to make sure that we are collecting this information, being mindful of privacy and sensitivity of collecting and publishing data.
And so we will continue to collect that information and be able to publish it.
When will it be published?
We will publish the data as soon as
We're able, in accordance with the reports, as we have the data based on those contracts, we will publish the data.
And so we will continue to improve what those information that is in those reports to make sure that we are getting all the information that we can have.
