Procurement complexity and closing
Harry notes city procurement is complicated and embedding community hiring requires digital systems, labor partnerships, and stakeholder preparation. He says progress is significant but more work remains, and he is ready for questions.
I know firsthand from working many years at the Mayor's Office of Contract Services that city procurement is an extremely complicated process that offers immense opportunity.
Embedding community hiring into this process
developing multiple digital systems for data tracking and analysis, strengthening collaborations with our partners in organized labor through project labor agreements, and preparing numerous disparate stakeholders for program implementation has been an enormous effort.
I'm incredibly proud of the progress we have made to date.
But no, we still have a lot of work to do.
We look forward to answering your questions and discussing how we can work together to realize the full vision of community hiring and connect more New Yorkers to quality employment opportunities.
Thank you, and we are happy to take your questions.
