Abreu asks how streets plan will build on Vision Zero Reimagined
Abreu asks how the forthcoming streets plan will incorporate Vision Zero Reimagined. Flynn says the streets plan will flesh out priority corridors and add specificity to the action plan's street design elements.
How will the forthcoming streets plan incorporate or build upon the Vision Zero Reimagine initiatives?
Yeah, so probably the biggest kind of jumping off point in the streets plan from the Vision Zero plan will be around those priority corridors.
We're fleshing those out, basically, and we've been crunching the data.
So the streets plan will include the new set of priority corridors that we're committing to redesigning, upgrading.
It'll also add specificity to some of the ideas that are in the Vision Zero action plan.
You know, the action plan, it's an action plan, right?
So it has a series of different things.
Some of them are further along in development than others.
So some of them will be able to share more in the streets plan.
As a policy matter.
How do you see the actualization of the streets plan?
How does that impact Vision Zero initiatives?
If I'm understanding, I mean, I think that the streets plan, you can see it kind of as an umbrella for multiple plans.
So it will, it's one mechanism for fleshing out and implementing elements of the streets plan.
But it also, you know, the same could be said for our bus plan, next stop, fast buses.
And, yeah, I guess more of the street design-related aspects of the Vision Zero plan would be more articulated in the streets plan.
