Banks thanks Chair Zhuang and welcomes attendees to the joint hearing. He introduces himself as Chair of the Public Housing Committee. He says older adult centers are critically important for thousands of older New Yorkers, especially public housing residents.

I am Councilmember Chris Vanks, Chair of the Public Housing Committee, and I would like to also again thank Chair Swong for co-chairing this important hearing with me.
Older adult centers are critically important to provide
I'm sorry, older adult centers are critically important provider for thousands of older New Yorkers, especially those residing in public housing.
They provide essential social services while also serving as a regular touch point of community and otherwise are crucial to contributions to improving older residents'quality of life.
