Good morning.
I am Eva Trimble, Chief Operating Officer at NYCHA.
Thank you to Commissioner Scott McKenzie for your testimony and partnership.
And thank you to the council for this opportunity to discuss older adult centers at NYCHA developments across the city.
NYCHA's campuses are home to 77 older adult centers, and there are additional 28 centers at PAC developments.
These sites offer a range of recreational, health, and community services.
cultural programs that enhance the lives of NYCHA residents and other seniors in the community.
On any given day, seniors benefit from meals, exercise classes, discussion groups, counseling, social services, technology classes, blood pressure screenings, and much more.
Our belief is the power of partnership drives our efforts to transform our organization and how we deliver services to residents.
And it also drove NYCHA's decision years ago to transfer the operation of most of our older adult centers to NYC Aging and other partners who provide programming.
