Q&A

Zhuang asks how many food bags go to NYCHA OACs

New York City Council · Oct 27, 2026 · starts 0:56:44 · 47 sec

Zhuang asks how many food bags NYC Aging provides to NYCHA facility senior OACs. McKenzie says they can break that out but did not for this meeting. She notes older adults can pick up food bags at any site regardless of where they live.

Susan Zhuang

Do you have, how many food bags do you provide the NITCHER facility senior OAs?

Lisa Scott McKenzie

We can break that out for you.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

I didn't break it out for this meeting, but we can break that out.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

But obviously, because someone lives in NITRA doesn't mean that they have to pick up a food bag in NITRA.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

They can go wherever they want.

Lisa Scott McKenzie

So as long as they are 60 or older, regardless of income, immigration status, or residency where they live, they can go to any one of those sites and receive the same treatment as anyone else.

Susan Zhuang

Okay, thank you.

Susan Zhuang

And then let me turn the floor to Coach here.

Susan Zhuang

Thanks.
