Stevens presses on three-week tenure and outlets waiting for help
Stevens asks when Sidahmed started and says a year-end timeline is unfair to publishers. Sidahmed says he started three weeks ago and is focused on the report about past spending.
So when did you start?
I'm sorry?
Three weeks ago.
You started three weeks ago.
I also remember there were eight months, nobody in the office, just so you know.
Eight months.
So because this wasn't a priority for the administration, people now have to suffer.
Because I want to be clear, that's the signal that's being sent out.
Whether you started three weeks ago or not, that doesn't mean that the work does not continue.
And so I'm concerned that now folks are suffering because that's going to be a problem.
So I'm really confused about folks waiting to the next steps.
And so is there any way, is there not staff there that you can work with to figure out how to get these advertisement dollars out faster than by the end of the year?
So I really appreciate the question.
I think that what I mentioned previously, my previous comment was about the report.
And I think really that's what a lot of folks are trying to understand is where the money went, how the money was spent in the last fiscal year, how different agencies allocated their dollars in the last fiscal year.
So by the end of the year, I'm really working on developing that report.
So getting that data from the different media buyers.
understanding which agencies they work with and then having the agencies verify that information.
