Council Member Ariola Explains Vote on General Orders
Council Member Joann Ariola explains her vote, criticizing personal attacks made during the session and casting her votes on the general orders calendar.
Ariola.
Permission to explain my vote.
Commission, Granted.
Thank you.
Majority Leader, in the beginning of every session, you say that we need to have be polite with each other and treat each other with respect.
And that was not done today.
And what was been done was a member brought up in discretions of other members instead of voting their conscience and what they believed on these bills.
And that's petty and it's wrong.
We should not be looking at and saying who tweeted something, who did something in a moment of passion, and who did something that they already were were was dismissed.
What we should say is look at each one of our Twitter feeds and tell me if there is anyone without sin, cast the first stone.
And on that note, I will vote uh no on twelve uh 1201A, twelve oh three A, twelve oh four A, two four six A, uh home rule SLR1, and I on all the rest.
Thank you for the time.
Council Member S L R one, I'm sorry, I missed that.
S L R one.
Clarification, Council Majority Minority Leader Ariola, S L R One.
I'm a no.
Thank you.
