Stevens asks about preventing the debit card fraud issues from last summer. Officials describe engaging youth in financial literacy training, convening providers, and working with banks, law department, and payroll processors to prevent recurrence.
I'm just going to do a quick lightning round around some things because I know we do have to wrap very quickly.
My first question is just around SYEP.

Just thinking about as we prepare into the summer and going to the summer and thinking about the issue we had last summer with the debit cards and things like that, I just want to get a clear understanding of how are we moving forward this summer to ensure that that doesn't take place again and ensuring that, you know.
Young people are getting paid in a timely manner and other things are happening?
I can assure you that the team at DYCD is doing everything within our control to prevent it from happening again.
And I mean, I can talk about this for a very long time because it's been our focus since the day it happened last year.
But high level, we're doing everything from engaging young people in more and more financial literacy training.
Our providers have been convened at DYCD to make sure they're focused on educating their young people on the risks of participating in fraud.
And we're working with the banks, the law department, DUI, the payroll processor, and all of those folks to understand what they're doing to prevent it from happening too.
