I'd say the majority of police officers in the New York City Police Department for that week and perhaps for a few days closer to
the finals will be asked to work 12-hour tours, and that is from the rank of police officer on up to chief.
So it really affects everyone.
It is not a decision that we took.
Lightly or that I took lightly, but it is an absolute necessity for that week given the number of things going on in the city.
