CM Brewer questions OMB on DOI 9/11 toxins funding and DOF FOIL portal

It's nice to hear answers for the last four years.

We didn't have any answers.

I'll be honest with you.

I say it like it is.

A couple issues.

In terms of DOY, I know you have met with the commissioner, but my question is, did that include the $4 million for the 9-11?

Discovery.

So you're going to pay that?

We are going to look forward to the conversations we're going to have with you.

I think what we were able to do is, and I met with her on two occasions, to look deeply at where they were in terms of an operational standpoint, and then obviously compliance with the resolution passed by the council on,

yes, yes, by you, Councilman, to basically, you know, to fund the effort that's needed for the 9-11 toxins investigation.

We look forward again in the next few weeks to talking about how we have a well-resourced DOI.

It's an order of magnitude question, right?

So we have to be able to work together and figure out what that order of magnitude will be, given the funding envelope that we have.

Okay, some small issues.

Doris, I love Doris, and they have the FOIL responsibility.

They need $255,000 to codify their open records portal, which will help us with FOIL.

Is that something that you will fund?

It's something we look forward to discussing with you in the next few weeks.
