The nexus of factors driving housing insecurity and homelessness disparities
for LGBTQIA New Yorkers are entrenched, intersectional, and complex, but they are not insurmountable.
As the work of the Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA Affairs is developed and implemented, we want to assure committee members and City Council that we bring considerable substance of expertise and experience,
true vision and leadership, an unwavering dedication to the communities we serve in this city, and a deep commitment to transformational government and cross-government collaboration, cooperation, and
innovation to ensure that we are meeting the moment and establishing a lasting foundation for a more equitable, affordable, and accessible city for all.
Shared responsibilities and lasting solutions require us to address these interconnected challenges together.
The Momdani administration, the Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA Affairs, and our agency partners stand by as ready and proactive partners.
We look forward to new and continued partnership and collaboration with City Council on the issues before the committee today and those in the future.
