Jung and Perry provide actual training and placement numbers
Jung says EDC hasn't seen the CUF figure and it doesn't align with their methodology. He says EDC has trained about 300 people across its programs. Perry provides additional numbers: approximately 2,300 adult workers and 750 young adults served through green economy programs, including 1,500 through PINC, 150+ through Cool Roofs, 375+ through pre-apprenticeship, 300 city employees through DCAS EV training, and 350+ students through Inside Industrial.
It depends on different programs specifically.
For the ones that we have been leading, we've trained about 300 overall across various programs that we've invested in.
But I'll let my colleague, Doug, if you have any other.
Yeah.
Data on your programs.
And so, like I mentioned in the testimony, we estimate about, since the Green Economy Action Plan was released, about 2,300 adult workers and 750 young adults have been served through the Green Economy.
So that's almost 1,500 through that PINK program that I mentioned as being connected to union and prevailing wage careers.
SBS through their Cool Roofs program, which I mentioned has the NYC Talent Help Secure funding for.
They've connected.
Over 150 people, as well as their investment in their pre-apprenticeship program, over 375 people.
We've also trained, as I mentioned in the testimony, or rather DCAS has trained through funding we helped secure for them, 300 city employees to learn safety around electric vehicles.
And then
On the young people side, we have our Inside Industrial program, which, Chair Wana, we were grateful for you to come visit as we had a tour at IBEW Local 3 a few months back.
That's a career exposure program for New York City public school students, and that's a program that we've trained over about 350 young people.
We also have our Youth Apprentice Civil Service title, which NYC Talent worked closely with our partners, DCAS, to secure a brand new civil service title, which was a really exciting opportunity for young people.
And so we have 17 apprentices at city agencies that are working in the green economy, like DEP, DOT, et cetera.
And so we estimate, like I said, today roughly 2,300 adults, 750 young people that have already been connected.
