Justin Jarboe on rezoning area, non-applicant properties, and CB5 approval
Jarboe explains the rezoning area includes four existing buildings not owned by the applicant that are not anticipated as redevelopment sites. Community Board 5 approved unanimously with a condition that the northerly portion be amended from R6A to R6B. The Borough President also gave a positive recommendation.
The rezoning area extending from Bleeker Street to Menahan Street will include four existing buildings that are not owned or controlled by the applicant and are not anticipated as redevelopment sites as they appear to be occupied and are under individual
ownership and would likely need to be merged and vacated in order to create a new development site.
Next slide.
The application received unanimous approval from Community Board 5 with the condition that the northerly part of the rezoning area north of Bleecker Street be amended from R6A in the proposal to R6B,
involving a property that is not owned or controlled by the applicant, along with a positive recommendation from the borough president.
That concludes our presentation.
