Good morning.
My name is Rahima Lee.
I am also a board member of Mastered Abdul-Musi Khalifa.
I'm just here to support the project.
It's long working and it is definitely something needed for the community.
As we know,
We live in a time where a lot of buildings are going up and they are, they say, affordable, but a lot of times they're not affordable for the people that live in the neighborhood.
They're affordable for people that live elsewhere and are coming into the neighborhood.
Not that that's always bad.
But it is something that does hurt the people that are residing in the community or who would like to stay in the community and are not at that income level.
So to have a senior, and then on top of that, we've seen very little senior housing being built in Brooklyn.
recently, I'd say probably within the last five years.
So this project will solidify those two things.
will help people that live in the community be able to afford to stay in the community, and those people will be our seniors that desperately need housing,
and need housing that is affordable to them on small incomes.
