Chair Sanchez introduces seven bills on the hearing agenda
Sanchez lists the bills under consideration: Intro 178 (Office of Conversion Assistance, Epstein), Intro 649 (owner identification signs, Restler), Intro 717 (permit sign-off notices, Salaam), Intro 860 (street number enforcement, Brewer), Intro 905 (COPA, Nurse), Intro 1015 (J51 reauthorization, Sanchez), and a preconsidered bill on electronic dwelling registration (Banks).
In addition to our oversight topic, the committee will also hear intro number 178, sponsored by Councilmember Harvey Epstein in relation to establishing an Office of Conversion Assistance.
Intro number 649, sponsored by Councilmember Lincoln Ressler, in relation to requiring the posting of a sign identifying the owners of multiple dwellings.
Number 717 by Councilmember Yusef-Salaam, in relation to requiring the Department of Buildings to inform property owners of permit sign-off requirements.
Intro number 8.
860 sponsored by Councilmember Brewer in relation to the inspection and enforcement of street numbers on buildings and pre-considered T26-1780
sponsored by Councilmember Chris Banks in relation to authorizing electronic registration of dwellings with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
Perhaps one of the most exciting bills today.
They're all great.
They're all great.
I'd like to give the sponsors of these bills an opportunity to speak on their legislation, starting with Councilmember Nurse, followed by Epstein and Banks.
Did I mention 905?
I'm sorry, but you go ahead, 905.
