Chair Louis questions Stark on applicant team makeup and property owners
Chair Louis asks Stark to clarify the applicant team makeup. Stark identifies the educational institutions (Beth Chana, Central United Talmudical Academy, Yeshivas Ahavas Israel, Yeshiva Litziram Satmar) and residential property owners including Meyer Stern, Sam Rosenberg, and Hatzola of Williamsburg.
I have a few questions, and I'm going to call on Councilmember Ressler if he has any questions.
First, could you please clarify the makeup of the applicant team as the proposal contains multiple sites?
Who are property owners?
Who are developers?
And how are they working together?
Excellent.
The non-education, the educational institutions, I named them by name, Bethana School, Century United Talmudical Academy, Yeshiva Zahavis Israel, Yeshiva Litzirim Satmar.
These are all.
long-standing yeshiva operators in this particular neighborhood.
Among the owners of the residential sites, these are also long-standing community members.
The largest property owner in the rezoning area is a gentleman by the name of Meyer Stern.
He owns three or four of the parcels.
He owns other sites in the general neighborhood.
Mr.
Stern has developed buildings in the past, but has owned these buildings for many years.
Is he the only one for the residential?
Mr.
Stern is the largest property owner.
Other notable owners, like Site F, is Mr.
Sam Rosenberg.
He owns and operates the tire shop that is currently there.
He's probably out there right now changing a tire.
We have, those are the two largest property owners.
We can follow up with, the other notable property owner is Site J.
That's the Hetzola.
Of Williamsburg who owns and operates their ambulance service out of that site.
They intend to undertake development in their own capacity.
So those are the three largest property owners among the residential site owners.
Okay.
