Sanchez questions Anderson on commercial waste zones impact on litter basket waste
Sanchez asks how commercial waste zones implementation has affected litter basket waste in high-foot-traffic areas. Anderson says there's no measurable impact on litter basket collections, as improper disposal is largely by residents rather than commercial establishments.
How has the implementations of commercial waste soads impacted the amount of waste collected at public litter baskets and during street cleaning in areas with high foot traffic and pedestrian traffic?
Foot traffic.
I wouldn't say that we've seen a real measurable impact on litter basket collections as a result of the rollout of commercial waste zones.
If anything, I think we have better data on the commercial establishments and limiting the improper disposal that commercial establishments are doing.
But I think for a long time that improper disposal has been happening by residents, and so it doesn't really have an impact there.
