CM Wong on audit report data and predecessor's unfulfilled request
Wong asks what percentage of crime reports were misclassified in 2025 and follows up on a data request from his predecessor. Gerber says they'll work with Wong's office to provide the requested data, noting the predecessor's request came days before leaving office.
So let's take the quarterly CAT audit.
Do they have, for each command, do they have like a form number or a report number?
Or no, like when was the audit last completed?
Like for command, any command.
Take my present, 110.
Right, so what will happen is CAT will do a sample across various types of categories of complaints.
Like I said, they'll do a deep dive on each of those complaints to see if there are any misclassification issues.
And then they'll do a report, and they'll say, here are, you know, what percentage of complaints were classified properly, if there are any that were misclassified, flagging those for the command.
So, yeah, there's going to be a report.
So what percentage, say, in 2025 of those crime reports were incorrect or misclassified?
So, again, it's happening across multiple units.
So I can't, in other words, you have the DIU process, which is sort of ongoing, and you have the CAT work, and you have the ICAD checks, and you have the CIT work, how many of you will investigate your work?
But, Council Member, we have, you put in the letter a few days ago to us requesting various categories of data.
We will, of course, work with your office to get you the various pieces that you asked for.
Because my predecessor asked for these audit reports, and he didn't hear it back.
So I am following up with that.
That is why.
I send out that letter to this morning's press release.
I think he put in the request a few days before he left the council.
I think it was literally a matter of days before he left.
You have put in a request, sitting council member.
Of course, we're going to work with you and your team, and we will get you the data that you've requested.
Yeah, okay.
