Chair Thomas-Henry questions Khan on advertising resources available to small businesses through the city
Thomas-Henry asks what advertising resources are available to small businesses. Khan describes digital marketing support, social media best practices, and the Link Local program with LinkNYC kiosks that provides neighborhood-based advertising with an easy-to-use template for business owners.
Going back to introduction 408, currently, what are the different advertising available to small businesses through the city?
Thank you, Council Member.
So on 408, we provide digital marketing supports.
We provide social media support and understanding how and what the best practices are to engage with these platforms.
We also work with Link Local, which is with Link NYC on a program we've jointly supported called Link Local, where we provide neighborhood-based advertising for small businesses and community organizations
on Link NYC kiosks across the city.
So that's another way by which businesses can engage in access-free and digital marketing.
And that service, there's an easy-to-use template for business owners.
They don't have to go through a complete, very, very complicated process to get their business up on these Link NYC kiosks and another partnership and collaboration with Link NYC to get that done.
