Council Member Brewer asks whether SBS helps businesses with online sales platforms
Brewer asks whether SBS supports businesses in going online, noting that 30% online sales can be a lifeline for some businesses. Khan confirms SBS provides resources to help businesses digitize, integrate sales platforms, and compete in the online economy.
Councilmember Brewer has a follow-up question real quick.
Very quickly, and we were talking about influencers, but to my businesses, their big support mechanism for staying in business is like a 30% online if they have the kind of product that they can do online.
Without that online support, is that something that you also help people with?
In other words, you've got a clothing, small clothing mom and pop owns.
Yes.
I know you've got some tchotchkes that you're New York City based and whatever.
You can't do that for milkshakes.
So my question is, is that something that is also supported, advocated for by SBS?
Yes, to help more businesses go online, yes, absolutely.
We think it's critical that businesses are able to, if they choose to, depending on the product and service they offer, compete on the online economy.
And so we've got resources to help business digitize and understand how do you integrate the different shopping platforms or sales platforms into your website and all the resources related to that.
Okay.
All right.
Thank you.
