Wong Q&A: holding non-compliant agencies accountable
Wong presses on who is responsible for going after non-compliant agencies, calling it unacceptable that only seven agencies comply with Local Law 39. Mata describes working with the acting general counsel and data department to guide agencies, and building systems to make reporting easier.
Phil, do you have more questions?
I know you do.
And as an agency, as we continue having many roundtables at DVS, I've heard from many veteran groups that perhaps that this is one of the first times when the agency itself has really engaged many of the groups.
Whose job is it to go after the agencies who did not file the data?

and to provide assistance along with our data department on how they could per se transfer over that information or let us know that data.
So that's an example.
So at DVS, we are meeting with our providers to hear from them directly to let us know what has been working, what hasn't been working.
So again, with the creation of the data department, that's the goal to be able to work with these other agencies and make it easier for them.
