Encarnación says residents and council staff should not chase work orders; Greene acknowledges
Encarnación says it should not be residents' or council staff's job to constantly follow up on NYCHA work orders. Greene responds that he understands and thanks her.
I'm just saying that it's not our staff's responsibility or job to
to be continuously following up on NYCHA work orders.
It's also not really the residents.
Like these things should be working seamlessly.
You guys should be wanting, property managers should have access to work orders from the planning unit, understanding, calling, and reaching out.
That is part of the job of property management, right?
We are not and should not be the ones, and neither should that be falling on residents'backs to be constantly calling and following up and figuring out where their work orders are, when a person's coming, if they came missing work.
It is extremely intensive on the residents, on our staff, in order to do this.
And I think that there has to be a more fluid method for you guys to be actively going out and following up on these work orders and not the other way around.
Understood.
Thank you, counselor.
Thank you, Council Member.

Right.
