Aldebol closes questioning and thanks DCAS
Aldebol thanks the DCAS panel for their testimony, shares her own civil service experience, and expresses hope to work together to modernize civil service.
Any other questions?
Anybody?
No?
Good.
Okay.
I told you we're in the homestretch.
Thank you so much for your testimony today and hope to continue to work with you to make civil service.
More robust.
I came out of civil service.
I was a caseworker for the city of New York many, many years ago before I went to work for the union.
And I was a member of the Social Service Employees Union.
I got to give them a shout out.
Social Service Employees Union, Local 371.
Which is another, you know, it's another job that's hard to fill and that has high turnover.
So we need to figure, that's something that we really have to figure out.
Because people burn out very quickly in some of those jobs.
But thank you so much again for your testimony today.
Thank you, Chair.
And of course, I appreciate you in my office.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I know.
We should have a job fair.
Yeah, that's why their programs are, the high school programs are so important.
I'm going to reach out to SBS and the DOE and all those folks because some of them are in the house.
