Morano asks about NYC Jobs website applications and hires
Morano asks how many of the 1.8 million applications resulted in jobs; Porter says about 20,000 positions were filled, mostly interview-based.
A couple of quick non-veterans related questions.
Your testimony says the NYC Jobs website received more than 1.8 million applications last year.
That's an enormous number.
How many of those 1.8 million applications actually resulted in someone getting a job?
Do you track that number?
We do.
For 2025, it was about a little over 20,000 positions were filled through the jobs website.
And, you know, those are positions that do not require a civil service exam.
It's interview-based hiring.
But, yeah, that's the number, about 20,000.
