Porter highlights translated exam notices and CUNY brochures

In addition, this past July, we rolled out a new update that allowed notices of examination to be translated into any language a candidate is most comfortable with.

We would like to recognize Councilmember Carmen De La Rosa for this idea, and we are very excited to see how translatable notices of exams can remove limitations to accessing information about civil service opportunities.

As part of our compliance with Local Law 191 of 2005, DCAS has also begun producing and distributing brochures to CUNY for prospective, current, and recent

graduated students designed to demystify the civil service system and provide easily digestible information on how to get a job in city government.

With hundreds of thousands of students across the city, this is another vital touchpoint to recruit for municipal service.
