Council Member Aviles asks about IRC data and contract review scope
Council Member Aviles follows up on the IRC's review of contracts and data-sharing agreements, asking about the breadth and scope of surveying actual data in systems. Ali says the review looked at data flows and contract protections, and MOIA will follow up with details on what was surveyed.
Thank you, Chair.
Good morning, everybody.
Good morning.
I just want to ask a follow-up question to the earlier subject of the IRC reviewing contracts and the data sharing agreements.
Where you noted that the process also looked at the actual data.
So I was just curious about if possible you could explain a little more detail about the breadth and scope.
Of that surveying of actual data in the systems and over what period of time?
So I will get back to you on terms of the timeline, but as I mentioned that the technology
and the vendors that were reviewed from the audit.
We were looking for a few things, but one thing in particular, to make sure that the necessary identifying information law writers were present and that other protections were present in the contracts as well.
But we can follow up and get you additional details on the timeline and the time frame.
Yeah, I guess what I'm really interested in learning is what did a surveying of samples actually look like with the breadth of contracts that I'm sure the city engages in?
I'm glad to hear that, you know, those elements are in the contracts, but I would love to know if when you look at the data actually across some of those systems, what you found.
So happy to talk about that some more.
We are, Councilmember, looking also at how data flows.
And so we will certainly follow up with you on terms of what actually was surveyed and what did the samples look like.
Great.
Thank you so much.
