Narcisse asks if staff see increased anxiety over federal and Medicaid changes
Narcisse asks whether staff have observed increased anxiety among patients and families. Wallach says H&H is hearing rumblings from patients and aims to reassure through updated public websites, social media, patient emails, and exam-room communication.
Have staff observed increased anxiety among patients and families about the federal environment or Medicaid changes?
Yeah, you know, it's hard again, as Dr.
Fattal said, I'm going to go to comment.
On specific patients, but I would say broadly speaking.
Broadly.
Yes.
We are starting to hear rumblings from the patients to whom we provide care.
However, from our perspective, it is always, always our hope that H&H creates an environment of support and reassurance for all patients, including those seeking gender-affirming care.
And as such, shout out to my colleagues at H&H who really do a fantastic job of updating guidance on our public-facing websites and our social media channels,
as well as through patient emails and during visits of patients in the exam room with the care teams to make sure that they feel safe and they're provided with all the necessary information because we know getting accurate
and correct information is critical.
That's right.
