Farías asks about targeted outreach when utilization goals fail
Farías asks whether the city does targeted outreach in areas where utilization goals are underperforming. Garner says the city has taken MWBE outreach to every borough with borough presidents and chambers of commerce.
Okay, and so where those utilization goals are maybe failing or underperforming, do we do targeted outreach in those areas to either improve the numbers or gain more?
So in that area, I'll defer to my colleagues on that for the outreach.
The outreach efforts.
So certainly on the outreach, and I will defer over to SBS also as well, but I can tell you since the time that we got here, we wanted to take the MWB program to the community.
And so we've been scheduling MWB outreach in conjunction with the borough president's office.
And the various chamber of commerce's.
And so we've been to every borough, including Staten Island, for targeted MWBE outreach in boroughs in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Brooklyn.
