Restler asks how data will improve if agencies are not reporting
Restler says even a jump from 9% to 50% would still leave half of subcontract data missing, and notes 20 agencies reported zero subcontracting information for four years. Garner says the city is going directly to agency commissioners to enforce contract requirements.
So we're going to set up a briefing soon to go through it, to hope that we're starting to actually see the data information.
Look, I welcome that.
I guess.
I'm hopeful that that will work.
But just help me then.
Let's just say, for argument's sake, it doesn't, that we continue, or maybe say it works really well, and you go from 9% to 50%, which would be remarkable and a huge accomplishment, but we're still not getting the subcontracting data for half the contracts.
How are we actually going to get the data if these agencies are not reporting to FMS?
There were 20 agencies that reported zero information on their subcontracting over the last four years.
Didn't take this seriously at all.
We are going directly to the agency commissioners.
We have confidence and faith that those agency commissioners are going to require their staff to work with and enforce.
the contract requirements, which calls for MWBE or subcontracting payments to be entered into Passport on a regular basis.
