Chair Louis asks about DOT timeline for raising Sapphire Street
Chair Louis asks if DOT has plans or a timeline to raise Sapphire Street by 10 feet. Danielle Drake says the current Jewel Streets plan has no timeline, and the elevation raise affects residents across the street.
And does DOT have any plans to raise Sapphire Street by 10 feet, as you mentioned in your testimony earlier, or are there any timeframes, any other timeframes?
So according to what I understand as the current version of the Jewel Streets plan, I don't believe that there is an actual timeline associated with it.
The 10 feet elevation raise is addressed in their last plan that they had put together that they had put out to the
the public.
And that does have a component that they have to deal with with the members of the community that live across the street from the site.
So they are also affected by it.
So that is, I think, the challenge for this area.
