Alexa Aviles calls next panel; Christopher Leon Johnson testifies
Council Member Aviles calls the next panel. Christopher Leon Johnson testifies in support of Puerto Rico's independence, criticizing the governor and urging council members to continue the fight.
And next, back to in-person panel, we're going to have Chris Johnson and Raul Rivera.
Hello, Chair Viles.
My name is Christopher Leon Johnson.
I want to say this right now that, look, I support the independence of Puerto Rico.
I'm Dominican on my dad's side.
I'm on mommy's trini, but I think I'm more Dominican than trini.
But I want to make this right now that Dominican Republic has a lot of, like,
of rewards of independence.
And I know that Puerto Rico, they go into a lot of oppression when they are under the rule of America.
I want to make this clear that the problem with the whole Puerto Rican thing is that it's Republican ran.
That governor of, what is it, of Puerto Rico is nothing but the Puerto Rican, Nicole Malitakis.
And I think we all know Nicole Malitakis.
She's nothing but a party hack.
When you have a party hack being the governor of Puerto Rico, it becomes a problem.
I'll say this right now.
I support the people's fight here.
I support all resolutions to liberate Puerto Rico, make Puerto Rico independent.
But it's a long fight.
But I think right now, going forward, I think you guys, I think after you leave office, you should just move down there and run for office down there.
I think you should move.
You and Tiffany Cabana, y'all turn them.
might as well go move down to like San Juan or Bayamon and run for office over there.
Y'all better off.
Y'all turn limited.
I don't think unless, I mean, that's my advice.
That's my advice.
That's all I got to say.
Thank you, Chris.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'll take the suggestion.
All right.
Thank you.
