Chair Joseph closes with call for partnership, funding, and access
Chair Joseph says the Council must support expanding study abroad so every New York City student can have the experience. She thanks the witnesses, says CUNY has a partner in this work, and emphasizes funding and the Muse scholarship database.
This council has to support in expanding.
We want to see that opportunity.
I know Councilman Brewer, Epstein, and Dinowitz and my colleagues, I know we talked about, one, how can we perfect this system?
How can we expand?
How can we allow every New York City student that come through your doors to experience what it's like to study abroad?
We would love to work in partnership with you.
You have a partner in this work.
I know it was important for me when I did my study abroad.
And also that experience really changed the trajectory of what I wanted to do.
So I think CUNY has a great opportunity to do that with our students.
So we have to find money, right, council member?
We need money.
Money makes everything work.
And Muse.
Music will tell us everything.
So I thank you all.
And I look forward to, I'm going to reach out to you.
I'm going to give you my email because I do.
