Chair Joseph says Council wants to discuss funding and support

New York City Council · Sep 29, 2026 · starts 1:17:41 · 14 sec

Chair Joseph thanks Epstein and says the committee began discussing from the start how the Council can support study abroad expansion. She says money makes things work and the Council must talk about funding.

Rita C. Joseph

Thank you, Councilmember.

Rita C. Joseph

And we started having those discussions from the very beginning.

Rita C. Joseph

How can this council support that, expand the travel, and support you?

Rita C. Joseph

I know folks don't like to talk about money, but money makes things work, right?

Rita C. Joseph

So we got to talk about money.
