Blumenthal describes workforce development with CUNY and Bank Street
Blumenthal says Early Starters USA has a workforce program with mothers and staff, partnered with CUNY and Bank Street College. She says the program has five CUNY apprenticeship slots and strong interest.
I'd say maybe something else that we'd love to see more of is, well, we would love it if we could have more collaboration with the administration because we have
begun a workforce development program with our mothers and with our staff to help them find work in early childhood.
We're currently partnered with CUNY and with Bank Street College of Education.
The mothers and the staff get a little...
Brief introduction into childhood development.
And then we have five slots with CUNY to have an apprenticeship with a program in the city that they can get additional
training with.
And we'd, you know, love to, yes, yeah, five slots.
So we'd love to be able to, you know, help provide those, you know, multi-link.
Is that like the largest need for, or not need, but like, is that one of the larger interests for people at the, at your sites wanting to pursue a career in early childhood education?
We've seen a great interest from it.
Yeah.
We've seen a fair amount of mothers want to sign up and our maestras who are our staff, they tend to, you know, want to see how far they can go in early childhood.
So yeah, that interest is there.
You know, if they need multi-language learners in early childhood, please reach out to us.
We absolutely need it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
