Lasry says host committee did not break down impact by city
Maloney asks how the fan initiatives translated into economic impact. Lasry says the host committee did a regional economic impact report and did not break it down by city or state, relying on the city and NYC Tourism for city-specific analysis.
And from those initiatives, do you know how that translated into real economic impact?
And if you have those estimates or anything you could share.
So as a regional bid committee, we did a regional economic impact and didn't break anything down by city or state.
We were very intentional about the fact that, again, for us being the New York, New Jersey host committee, we really viewed this as a strong New Jersey was going to lead to a strong New York and a strong New York was going to lead to a stronger New Jersey.
And so for us, our economic impact report really was a regional impact report.
I would probably rely on the city and NYC Tourism and whoever else to put together a city-specific economic impact.
