Thomas-Henry asks how host committee measured traffic to local businesses
Thomas-Henry asks how the host committee collaborated with NYC Tourism and collected data on driving traffic to local businesses. Lasry says the host committee was small and did its best, promoting fan zones and local watch parties.
How was the data you guys saw in terms of driving traffic to the local businesses in comparison to NYC tourism?
Was it the same data or did you?
And how did you collaborate with NYC tourism in terms of getting folks from the fan clubs to?
the local businesses and how did you collect that data?
Is this same data?
We tried our best to collect the data as best we could, but we were a small but mighty team that had a lot that we had to do.
And we didn't have a team of 100 people that could also go and do data collection.
So we did the best that we could.
I can't speak to NYC Tourism, although I know that they were an incredible partner.
And for us, though, what we tried to do was if you were at our fan zones or at any of our fan fest, we tried to promote the ability for people to then go outside
and go outside of just the fan zone that they were in and go experience other spots.
If there were people who were throwing their own watch parties through our viewing license or anything, we tried to promote that.
Any of the advertising that the city or New York City tourism was doing, we tried to promote that as well.
