Thomas-Henry calls for playbook for future events and thanks staff
Thomas-Henry says the joint hearing should help build a coordinated playbook for future major events so small businesses and working people benefit from day one. She thanks Central Staff and her staff, then acknowledges attending council colleagues.
That's why I'm proud to hold this joint hearing to determine how the city can build a coordinated playbook for future major events so that when New York
welcomes the world, our small businesses and working people are positioned from day one to benefit from it.
I look forward to hearing from the administration today about the economic impact of the tournament.
I want to thank Tyler Walls and Rebecca Barilla from Central Staff for their work putting this hearing together, as well as my staff,
Franklin Richards, Sierra Smith, and Elise Francisco, and everyone working behind the scenes to make today's hearing possible.
At this time, I want to acknowledge that we are joined by our council colleagues, Councilmember Marano, Councilmembers Brooks-Powers, Councilmember Salam, and Councilmember Santos-Wilson.
And Council Member Banks.
