Epstein thanks Gennaro and explains Intro 931 aims to improve public water access on hot days, especially in low-income communities. He asks whether the city can better provide publicly available water.

Harvey D. Epstein

Thank you, Chair, and it's good seeing you.

Harvey D. Epstein

Hope you're feeling better.

Harvey D. Epstein

I'm glad to see that you're back here with us.

Harvey D. Epstein

Thanks.

Harvey D. Epstein

And I appreciate going out of order.

Harvey D. Epstein

We're doing e-bike here across the street, so I appreciate being taken out of turn.

Harvey D. Epstein

Yeah, I just wanted to check in because...

Harvey D. Epstein

Obviously, we want to have access to water, especially on hot days, especially in high heat areas in our city.

Harvey D. Epstein

Especially, you know, not just my district, but across our city, we have a lot of lower income communities where they don't have access to publicly available water fountains and water stations.

Harvey D. Epstein

And I know during different times, you know, the cities put them out.

Harvey D. Epstein

Maybe 82 degrees isn't the right temperature.

Harvey D. Epstein

Maybe it should be 90 or maybe it should be three days in 90.

Harvey D. Epstein

Do we do a better job making publicly available water available to New Yorkers, especially in hot days, especially in low-income communities in our city?
