Gennaro rearranges order to accommodate Epstein and DOB
Gennaro explains he has many questions but will first recognize Councilmember Epstein for his mobile drinking fountain bill and then DOB for the solar bill because both have other hearings. He jokes about time limits.
Okay, here's our plan.
I have a lot of questions.
My colleagues have questions.
And so now we're happy to be joined by Councilmember Epstein, who has a bill on perfect timing.
The administration just spoke about it.
They don't like it.
And so we're going to, I think my first order of business, because Councilmember Epstein is in the middle of some huge mega hearing, and he
came over here in order to give voice to his bill.
So I want him to, if he'd be so kind, to talk about his bill and to get to his questions for DEP about his bill because he's due back across the street.
So we have that.
And then we have a request from DOB to ask them questions about Councilman Sandy Nurse's solar bill because they're due someplace else also.
someplace that they have to be.
So the way we're going to do it is we're going to have Councilmember Epstein speak about his bill and get to his questions for DEP on his bill.
No, I'm going to give him a little more than, I mean.
I don't need more than five minutes, Tim.
It's fine.
Okay, but, you know.
If you need it, you're my friends.
That's how I work the committee.
If you're my friend, you get more than five minutes.
If you're not, you get two.
And so, what's that?
I was just, the lawyer is just like, oh, you're saying it on the record and so like that.
I just like, I'm just kidding, you know.
Harvey's not my friend, okay?
So, yes, he is.
But the two minutes thing, I just made that up.
And so we're going to go to Council Member Epstein, and then I'm going to ask questions as a favorite DOB because you have some place to be.
You're welcome.
Happy that you're here with us.
So I happily recognize Councilmember Epstein.
